About the Role
As a Non-CDL Box Truck Driver at MOVR, you are responsible for safely and professionally transporting freight throughout the Greater Houston area and across Texas. You will operate MOVR box trucks, complete scheduled pickups and deliveries, secure cargo properly, maintain required documentation, and represent the company professionally at every shipper and receiver location.
This is a hands-on transportation role that requires safe driving, attention to detail, strong communication, and personal accountability. Routes and freight may vary, and you will be expected to manage your assignments efficiently, communicate problems immediately, and get the job done right.

Requirements
Driving & Transportation
Safely operate a non-CDL commercial box truck
Complete local and regional freight routes throughout Texas
Follow assigned routes, pickup instructions, and delivery appointments
Operate safely in Houston traffic, highways, loading areas, docks, and customer facilities
Follow all applicable DOT, TxDMV, traffic, and company safety requirements
Freight Handling & Securement
Load, position, and secure freight properly for transportation
Use straps, E-track, load bars, pallet jacks, and other cargo-handling equipment
Operate hydraulic liftgates safely when required
Inspect freight before departure and report visible damage or discrepancies
Protect cargo from shifting or damage during transportation
Pickup & Delivery
Arrive at shipper and receiver locations on time
Verify freight and shipment information before leaving
Follow facility check-in, loading, unloading, and safety procedures
Obtain required signatures and proof of delivery
Photograph freight or documentation when required
Immediately communicate delays, rejected freight, shortages, damages, or delivery issues
Vehicle & Safety
Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Report mechanical or safety concerns immediately
Maintain a clean and organized truck
Protect company vehicles and equipment
Follow hours-of-service and recordkeeping requirements when applicable
Never operate a vehicle or equipment in an unsafe condition
Documentation & Communication
Maintain accurate trip and delivery records
Complete bills of lading, proof-of-delivery documentation, and other required paperwork
Maintain communication with MOVR dispatch and management throughout assigned routes
Communicate professionally with brokers, customers, warehouse personnel, shippers, and receivers
Use company technology and applications for routing, documentation, inspections, and communication when required
Requirements
Valid driver's license
Acceptable motor vehicle record
Ability to safely operate a commercial box truck
Reliable and punctual
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Ability to safely handle freight and transportation equipment
Comfortable working around warehouses, loading docks, commercial facilities, and outdoor environments
Flexible availability based on freight and route schedules
Ability to complete local and regional routes as assigned
Ability to meet applicable driver qualification requirements
Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of MOVR's driver qualification process, including motor vehicle record review, background screening, pre-employment drug screening, and road test.
Preferred (not required):
Previous box truck driving experience
Freight or commercial delivery experience
Experience with palletized freight
Experience using pallet jacks and hydraulic liftgates
Experience with cargo securement equipment
Experience with dedicated routes, LTL, final-mile, distribution, or regional transportation
Familiarity with bills of lading and proof-of-delivery procedures
